Summary
Our client, a cutting edge developer of autonomous vehicle technology, is building up its Michigan team and looking for a System Tools Development Engineer (ADS) to support them in the the development and maintenance of Hardware and Software development and test tools. In this role you will be acting as a primary owner of all tools used in system engineering development of advanced driver assistance systems
Responsibilities
* Specify, design, and test systems using a variety of development methods * Understand and document the requirements and system or subsystem architecture * Allocate and expand requirements into actionable system requirements for mechanical, electrical and software disciplines * Verify control system performance and robustness by design and perform vehicle tests * Design and perform system calibration methods * Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical systems
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors in Engineering or Science, Masters preferred; 0-3 years of experience * Experience in writing, documenting and managing technical requirements * Strong understanding of all the engineering disciplines * Ability of explaining a complex technical system in simple terms * Experience with simulation and modeling of dynamic systems such as CarSim and Car Maker beneficial * Knowledge of AUTOSAR, dSPACE Micro Autobox and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) beneficial * Knowledge of Embedded software and C Programming beneficial * Experience working with airbag, brake control, engine/powertrain control, steering control, ADAS, helpful * A background with system development for Highly Automated Driving Systems is desired * Positive attitude * Excellent communication skills
Compensation and Working Conditions
Annual Pay $70,000 - $85,000
