Summary
Our client, a cutting edge developer of autonomous vehicle technology, is building up its Michigan team and looking for a Algorithm Engineer (ADCS) to support them in designing, simulating, and implementing Automated Driving Control algorithms for autonomous vehicles. In this role you will invent, design, implement, and test Automated Driving Control algorithms using model based design and C/C++ and in Embedded Real Time and Linux-based systems in vehicles.
Responsibilities
* Design and perform vehicle tests to verify algorithm performance and robustness * Design and perform system calibration methods * Follow defined SW development and documentation steps * Interface with Global feature owners
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors in Engineering or Science, Masters preferred * 2 years of experience with Model-based system development and Simulink modeling including S-functions, embedded m-files, modular design using model references * Experience with vehicle dynamics and control theory * Experience with Automotive products such as Steering Systems, Braking Systems, Powertrain Systems modeling and control * Knowledge of Control system design and analysis; State Estimation * Knowledge of CAN/FlexRay experience, data collection and analysis * Knowledge of signal processing * Knowledge of Embedded software and C Programming * Experience in commercial software for simulation and modeling of vehicle dynamic systems such as CarSim, CarMaker * Experience with AUTOSAR, dSPACE Micro Autobox experience and Functional Safety (ISO 26262) * Experience working with airbag, brake control, engine/powertrain control, steering control, ADAS * Driver training will be a plus * A background in Hand code and Model based software development for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is required
Compensation and Working Conditions
Annual Pay $80,000 - $110,000
