The Odyssey Group is looking to hire a Buyer/Purchasing Agent. Our client, a stable and growing company within the manufacturing of medical equipment sector is seeking an experienced Purchasing to join their team on a temporary basis

The Purchasing is responsible for purchasing of electro mechanical components. The Purchasing requires a great deal of communications with vendors and in-house departments therefore ideal candidate will need to have excellent communication skills and phone etiquette to be considered for this role.

* Ideal candidate must have good excel, Outlook & Word. Must also have working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. * 5 years or purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment * Experience in purchasing electro mechanical components * Ability to read blueprints and understand technical specifications * Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems * Convert purchasing suggestions from ERP systems into purchase orders * Expedite deliveries for existing purchase orders * Communicate with vendors and distributors * Interact with in-house engineering, quality and manufacturing departments
