Summary
This position is responsible for the oversight of all vendor account balances, ensuring that personnel in the department are reconciling and paying invoices on a timely basis.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and train Accounts Payable Representatives * Accounts Payable Trial Balance & Aging review and analysis * Responsible for Internal Controls and JSOX compliance for payment processing and vendor set-up and maintenance * Daily, weekly, monthly cash requirements, and activity reconciliation * Preparation of general journal entries as they pertain to the AP department, i.e. accruals. * Preparation of quarterly fixed asset additions and lease commitment schedules * Set up and maintain personnel on Concur and Diners Club systems. * Train outside sales personnel on expense policies and Concur reporting. * Oversee outside sales personnel expense reporting * Verification & analysis of Client charges. * Account analysis of certain monthly expenses including utility usage by building. * Control and maintenance of petty cash box. * Preparation and filing of the year-end 1099's and other related tax filings. * Prepare reports for annual fringe benefit calculations. * Special projects as required.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field strongly preferred. * Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervising capacity in Accounts Payable. * Familiar with mainframe accounting applications. * Highly proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities, team player and leader
