Founded in 1929 as an educational institution, The Museum of Modern Art is dedicated to being the foremost museum of modern art in the world.

Works on an agile team of four developers to build and maintain all of the Museum’s public-facing digital properties, including moma.org, lobby screens, and MoMA’s iOS app. Works closely with designers to develop creative user experiences and Web interfaces via HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and maintains Web applications. May also work on interactive HTML5 graphics for rich and responsive online experiences. Reports to Director, Digital Media.

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of Ruby on Rails experience and an interest in continuing to grow and experiment.
• Experience and interest in agile development, pair programming, and TDD is a plus.
• Proficiency in Rails 4, RSpec, Capybara, Chef, Ubuntu, Postgresql, HAML, SASS, and Objective-C.
