Material Handler

Lubrizol produces and supplies technologies to customers in the global transportation, industrial and consumer markets.

The Material Handler is responsible for assisting with the delivery, trafficking and staging of any materials required in the manufacturing environment to produce or aid in the production of finished product. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the transfer of components, chemicals and finished product to and from production areas, assisting Shipping/Receiving with loading and unloading transportation trucks and staging materials in designated areas, as required.

- Load/unload raw material and finished product. - Pack finished product according to sales order and turn into Logistics Coordinator for processing. - Pull UPS and FedEx orders to be shipped. - Adhere to documented standard operating procedures and processes. - Verify shipping documents to ensure proper materials are staged and loaded for transfer per customer specifications. - Observe safety, cGMP and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment/materials properly. - Distribute checked packages to appropriate departments. - Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts. - Perform daily housekeeping in the warehouse to ensure a safe, clean work environment. - Operate forklift as required. - Other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma/GED - Must have 1-2 years warehouse/shipping experience. - Must have strong work ethic, professional attitude, and be detailed oriented as well as reliable. - Must have excellent work habits, including willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done. - Ability to communicate effectively in english, both written and verbal. - Must have strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills. - Computer literate; must be proficient with email, Word, internet, etc. - Must be able to lift up to 75lbs. * Must be able to frequently: - Bend over – 10% - Squat – 5% - Walk - 40% - Stand - 40% - Reach above head – 5%
