Summary
This position will report to the Maintenance Manager at the Leetsdale, PA facility. The goals of this position are to track the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets, then find ways to reduce those losses or high costs. These losses are prioritized to focus efforts on the largest/most critical opportunities. The Maintenance Engineer, in full partnership with the operations team, develops a plan to eliminate or reduce the losses through root cause analyses, obtains approval of the plans, and facilitates the implementation. The Maintenance Engineer is to oversee the maintenance department processes.
Responsibilities
- Development of design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. Participates in the development of criteria for and evaluation of equipment and preventative maintenance requirements. - Perform life cycle cost analyses on critical equipment. - Utilize life cycle analyses to make capital recommendations on new installations. - Utilize life cycle analyses to help define long-term capital plan. - Define, design, develop, monitor and refine an Preventative Maintenance Plan that includes: - Preventive maintenance tasks, required frequencies, and equipment-specific plans. - Development and implementation of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent maintenance problems. - Administer the maintenance management system, including work orders, planning, purchasing, and scheduling. - Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and other maintenance problems that adversely affect plant operations. These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. - Work with production to perform analyses of assets including: - Asset Utilization - Overall Equipment Effectiveness - Remaining Useful Life - Other parameters that define operating condition, maintenance and costs of assets - Assist with external, internal, plant wide and departmental EHS&S audits. - Create, update, and maintain process flow diagrams for all manufacturing systems. - Create, update, and maintain PIDs for all plant systems. - Create, update, and maintain all Process Safety Management documentation related to manufacturing equipment. - Position requires travel time of up to 20%. - Other duties as required and directed by the Maintenance Manager.
Ideal Candidate
- BS in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited College/University. - Preferable - knowledge and experience in chemical manufacturing processes. - Application of statistical techniques and software for data analysis and interpretation. - SAP knowledge considered a plus.
