* Ensure compliance with safety and good housekeeping practices. Pro-active in maintaining a safe working environment. * Actively participate in department safety programs. * Responsible for independently running all pilot plant operations, post-run clean up, and basic maintenance tasks/repairs associated with pilot plant operations, troubleshooting, and creative problem solving. * Maintain/stage incoming materials and coordinate shipment of finished products to final location. * First responder to chlorine leaks during and after business hours and member of the site emergency response team. * Review, revise or write procedures as needed. * Collaborate with process development engineers in modifications and customizations of pilot plant. * process.

* High school diploma or equivalent. * Pilot plant experience OR mechanical maintenance experience in a chemical environment. * Chemical operations experience. * Experience with plant/pilot plant hazardous operations a plus. * Previous DCS system experience (DeltaV a plus). * Able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. * Able to wear negative and positive pressure respirators. * Mechanical aptitude skills. * Verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to work and communicate with others across multiple disciplines. * Planning, organization and leadership skills. * Computer skills, including SAP and MS Office. * Likes working in small groups. * Self-motivated. * Accepts the possibility of flexible work schedules and overtime. * Creative problem solver.
