Safety Manager

The Judge Group is seeking a Cal/OSHA Safety Manager for distributor in Florida. The qualified applicant will ensure a safe work place by providing safety resources, tools, and expertise to all employees. He or she will ensure company Health and Safety policies and procedures are in effect at all times. The Safety Manager will be responsible for multiple territories. The qualifications and responsibilities to successfully perform this job are listed below.

* Support Health and Safety operations with enforcement * Support managers, supervisors and operators to achieve various goals, including an injury free environment recordable injuries; in addition, the individual must comply with meeting all OSHA, DOT, Maritime, and Homeland Security rules and regulations * Work with the Human Resources and department and insurers to keep up with Worker Compensation administration * Communicate and collaborate with all departments to determine the best use of available resources to support Health and Safety processes * Supervise, schedule and rate management performance of the Plant Security personnel and the Plant Fire Protection/Safety Specialist * Help Operations Manager achieve goals and objectives for the entire facility * Support all aspects of Health and Safety training * Track all spending for H&S process, including, worker’s compensation, training, supplies and penalties * Responsible for Budget and reporting * Assist in hiring’s and responsible for holding all operations accountable for Health and Safety training and development * Maintain records and information regarding Health and Safety * Written reporting of H&S process status on a regular basis * Provide input on capital projects pertaining to H&S * Pursue favorable outcomes to personnel issues as they occur

* Cal/OSHA experience is required, no exceptions! * BS/BA degree required, no exceptions! * Extensive experience in the Health and Safety field * 5-10 years’ experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment as a supervisor/manager * Multi-site experience * Exceptional communication skills * Ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups
