Quality Assurance Manager

* Monitors safety and sanitation activities of Oxnard plant by reviewing and implementing new safety and sanitation procedures, enforcing all policies, monitoring safety and sanitation checklists, and raising awareness about consequences of not following policy. * Implements production specifications for customers by obtaining specs from Technical Services Director, training QC leads on the procedure, setting up documentation procedures, and monitoring the production process to ensure adherence. * Manages QC leads by planning departmental activities to meet corporate objectives, organizing the work activities to accomplish the planned activities, directing and developing the group by providing formal and informal performance planning and assessment including disciplinary actions when necessary * Prepares for and participates in 3rd party or customer audits by readying proper paperwork, performing internal audits prior to auditor’s arrival, leading tours and answering questions during and after the audit. * Communicates with Plant Manager regarding raw fruit quality and finished product quality. * When required, performs in a cross-functional role in other areas. May act as QC Supervisor/Lead when needed.

**Education and/or Experience:** * Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Food Science or related field from a four year college or university; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
