Summary
The Judge Group is recruiting for a Product Development Engineer. The company is an international manufacturer of high-quality specialty products made of plastic and glass for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. They realize revenues of $1B+ and have more than 10,000 employees worldwide. The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for establishing robust functional part designs, injection molding processes, and assembly processes for new and transfer devices. This opportunity is located in the Atlanta GA area.
Responsibilities
* Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, and develop products, processes and procedures. * Conceptual design & development of complex mechanical systems * Provide tolerance analysis on new and existing product design and devices. * Investigate and select suitable materials / plastic resins for the application. * Serve as a core team member on new product projects and transfer projects. * Ensures product development documentation and manufacturing processes meet all quality system requirements. * Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. * Occasional travel, some international, may be required up to 25%.
Ideal Candidate
* BS Engineering, Mechanical, Plastics or Biomedical preferred. * 3+ years of experience in product development, preferably in the medical device industry. * Experience in conceptual design & development of complex mechanical systems, plastic parts and methods for mass production * Knowledge of injection molding and high speed assembly methods * Experience with risk management tools (e.g. FMEA), statistical analysis, and strong analytical skills * Experience in development of medical applications and/or pharmaceutical primary packaging is preferred. * ProE experience required.

Additional Notes on Compensation

The compensation range for this opportunity is $85,000 - $100,000 plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits plan.
