Summary
We are looking for Mechanical Engineers to design mechanical systems related to the power industry. This is not an entry level position as a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the design of mechanical equipment with attention to manufacturing methods for specific application and design criteria are necessary.
Responsibilities
* Support the mechanical engineering effort within product development and mechanical systems design * Implement procedures, specification sheets, drawings and bill of materials * Generate ideas and solutions for new products as well as engineering support for current products * Comply with regulatory requirements and company design control procedures * Provide engineering support to manufacturing and operations * Assist in document control and maintenance of design history files * Work closely with Production Control from order entry through product shipment * Complete timelines in accordance with a published schedule * Attend product meetings to keep schedule(s) on track * Work with the development team to ensure company best practices are properly implemented on newly developed products
Ideal Candidate
* MUST be naturalized US citizen * B.S.M.E required * Need minimum of 5 years' experience designing mechanical systems * Must be hard working, self-driven and able to think "outside the box" * Experience in design of mechanical systems for Enclosures, Shelters, and power equipment is a plus * Autodesk Mechanical Design / Inventor is mandatory * Technically proficient with the ability to multi-task and follow directions accordingly * Possess strong written and oral communication skills * Solid working knowledge of regulatory requirements for electrical systems and product development * Experience with electro-mechanical systems integration * Proficient in (minimum 5 years) the operation of the latest version of Autodesk Inventor 3D or equivalent in Solid Works
