Maintenance Technician

• Responsible for the repair and maintenance of various food packaging equipment to ensure ongoing cost-effective operations.
• Will bring deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic controls/PLC components to support our automated packaging equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all packaging equipment according to maintenance schedule
• Repair automation equipment to keep machines running continuously
• Respond promptly to service requests with high level of internal customer service
• Assist and train machine operators to improve operating efficiency
• Maintain parts inventory and work with Facilities Manager to replenish as needed
• Assist with general facilities and equipment maintenance projects, including general repair, electrical, mechanical, electronics, and fire/life safety

• 3+ years experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of processing, packaging, and material handling equipment, ideally in a food manufacturing/production environment
• Deep familiarity with heavy electrical, pneumatic, PLC controls, and hydraulic systems
• Able to accurately assess problems, make recommendations, communicate effectively, and resolve issues quickly while working under pressure
• Able to safely lift and maneuver up to 45 pounds on a regular basis and stand for an entire shift
• Able to work in an industrial, cold room environment with moderate/intermittent noise Perform all duties in accordance with our Good Manufacturing Practices policy Familiar with LOTO rules Knowledge of OSHA standards, laws and regulations a plus Perform duties effectively in a highly diverse teamwork environment Scheduling flexibility – we are a three-shift environment Basic computer skills.
