Cost Accountant

• Build formulas for all manufactured products and assist in the conversion of manual / spreadsheet processes outside of the ERP system to within the ERP system's production module.
• Monitor standards for: Yielded meat cost Direct labor lbs. per man hour and cost Dry ingredient usage and cost Packaging materials usage and cost
• Test formulas to monitor / establish new standards
• Verify actual production data is accurately and timely posted in production module
• Maintain weekly labor standards to actual payroll
• Maintain weekly / monthly variance analysis for raw material (meat), dry ingredient and packaging usage
• Maintain weekly / monthly reconciliation of raw material (meat), packaging material and dry ingredient usage to the physical inventories
• Make recommendations and provide support to the procurement, production and sales departments
• Provide management on costing issues and areas for improvement in yield, labor inefficiencies *Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to assure cost accounting controls are maintained

• BS in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience in cost / plant accounting in a processing environment
• Proficient in use of excel spreadsheets and ERP systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
