Environmental Designer

• Looks to present big innovative ideas in the world of retail

• Understands retail design, retail environmental design, retail display and implementation

• Concepts displays, retail windows, retail environments, fixtures and signage projects in the context of retail messaging focusing on 3D renderings and deliverables

• Has an eye for design and an understanding and appreciation of what works and what is happening in retail

• Partners with Art Directors and other team members as needed to deliver best results through the understanding of general retail construction, color, materials and finishes

• Directs relevant outside 3D resources/vendors in execution of creative projects

• Integrates comments from designated sources into projects

• Participates in agency training initiatives and seminars

• Stays current with industry techniques applicable to work development and execution

• Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Design or related field and 0-2 years of relevant experience

• Portfolio that reflects superior design and art direction abilities

• Previous agency experience or major retailer background a plus

• Strong attention to detail in both technical and aesthetic composition

• Ability to apply constructive criticism to job execution and issues/concerns

• Ability to quickly adapt to a variety of situations and demonstrate effective problem solving and collaboration skills

• Mastery of relevant graphic design software such as 3D rendering programs, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator

• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a stressful environment.

• Ability to present to internal and external teams professionally and effectively

• Ability to build and manage relationships with internal teams and clients
