Release Manager Online Technology

We are the world's largest home improvement specialty retailer with stores in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, 10 Canadian provinces, and Mexico.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Responsible for driving multiple, concurrent releases to homedepot.com & mobile devices. Focus on improving the quality of delivery to production release to release. Aggregates and maintains what is in/out of scope for a given release across teams. Highlights any key dependencies across groups impacting release delivery. Engages with development, quality assurance and release engineering teams to orchestrate activities through the LLC Provide centralized support to solve and resolve any LLC conflicts. Focal point for any planned software/hardware changes in the LLC. Centralized controls to ensure all required controls for a release are in place.

NATURE AND SCOPE - Typically reports to Manager Information Services, Sr Project Manager or Director Information Services.

No associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must pass the Drug Test. Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED - The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 4

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS - Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 1) 7-10 years of experience with eCommerce
• 2) 5-7 years experience with Release Management & Project Management (Agile experience a plus)
• 3) 3-5 years of experience with continous integration and deployments w/respective tools
• 4) 3-5 years of tools and applications supporting agile & waterfall IT delivery
• 5) Excellent data analysis and problems solving skills
• 6) Excellent internal/external customer management skills
• 7) Proven history of solving problems, prioritizing workload and meeting schedules

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -

• 1) Strong understanding of Agile methodology
• 2) Strong knowledge of ITIL
• 3) Ability to lead/coach a small team supporting releases
• 4) Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
