Senior Director; Cloud Architecture and Operations

The Sr. Director, Cloud Operations will be responsible for leading, designing and implementing cloud operational governance, process and procedures. Assist technical operations with designing and implementing a multi-cloud environment for the organization as well as on premise where needed. Responsible for the direction of the company’s long term cloud operational strategy. The Sr Director is responsible for using visionary skills to explore innovation, architecture, strategically plan and executed operational automation that align with the strategic goals and vision of the business.

* Senior Director will determine and implement industry best practices using cloud tools for automation and orchestration of the compute environment. * Work and architect with multiple partners in a hybrid compute environment to ensure operational efficiencies across all platforms. * Expert experience leading architecture and design of highly scalable, available, and elastic solutions that implement industry best practices using cloud services. * Facilitate and support architectural discussions with internal customers to understand business requirements in order to assist in the selection and customization of cloud reference architectures to guide the development of “born in the cloud” applications. * Assess and plan for the organization’s future needs. Prepare governing principles and standards to guide future decision making pertinent to operational domain. * Determine appropriateoperationalcontrols, tools and processes that supplementandenhance the organizations compute environment. * Experience developing hybrid cloud operational best practices for production support and governance * Collaborate with various subject matter experts in areas such as networking, partnerships, finance, etc. to assist in providing financial transparency. * Provide cloud security strategic vision that enables innovation and seeks to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company's requirements and expectations. * Partner with IT Leadership team to lead delivery operational metrics. * Assess long term global operational needs with partners and IT Leadership. * Provide guidance and counsel to IT executives and key members of the company leadership team * Remains current on cloud technologies, architecture and operations trends.

**Educational Background:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration/Accounting, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.; Prefer advanced degree **Professional Experiences:** * 10+ years’ experience with team leadership, production support, and execution of multiple simultaneous and/or large projects. * 10+ of experience in at least two IT disciplines (enterprise architecture, IT operations, solution architecture, data architecture, application development, infrastructure) * Prior Management experience leading large-scale initiatives * 5+ years’ experience in cloud operations and service management technologies in a fast paced enterprise environment * 2+ years’ experience in implementing hybrid cloud architecture and operational procedures **Knowledge:** * Must have a basic understanding of all operational management technologies and needs, and must maintain knowledge of changing cloud technologies Experience implementing and tracking service level or metrics reporting * Experience developing best practices for production support and governance * Experience overseeing operational management policies and procedures * Experience monitoring supplier contracts, specifically tracking performance toward statements of work or service descriptions * Prior experience providing operational management and support across wide geographical area(s) **Skills:** * Expert in leading Operational excellence in projects of large-scale * Expert in leading technical migration, integration and consolidation activities * Expert in leading legacy systems reengineering to cloud technologies * Self motivated leader with forward-thinking visionary and entrepreneurial thinking to lead the change * Be a Catalyst to bring people together for a common vision * Highly self-motivated and directed with an attention to detail **Preferred Requirements :** * Hertz is a Drug-Free Workplace.
