Lead Analyst

The captivating story of Hershey's spans nearly a century and a half of industrial and social change. It was in the year 1894 that candy manufacturer Milton Hershey made the decision to try adding chocolate coating to his caramels.

As part of the Business Intelligence Services team at Hershey, you will help ensure that our software and solutions are designed and implemented to the highest development standards. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for consulting project teams on business intelligence concepts, collaborate with enterprise architecture to develop business intelligence implementation standards and communicate objectives and recommendations to project teams, business leaders, and solutions development staff.

* Provide solutions architecture guidance from high-level design to technical specification * Write technical documentation, operational procedures, systems documentation and incident communications and reporting. * Take part in after-hours on-call rotation schedule and weekend activities as required. * Ensure business intelligence development lifecycle practices are being followed * Assist with the monitoring and performance analysis of existing business intelligence applications * Lead small teams of developers * Investigate and become familiar with future business intelligence technologies and concepts * Develop innovation, communication and action plans to bring new capabilities to The Hershey Company

* Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree; advanced studies/degree is a plus. * Experience: 5 - 7 years’ experience working with Business Intelligence support and development * Advanced knowledge in a Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse technology * Demonstrated ability to think strategically and provide architectural thought leadership. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of delivering against multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Works under limited direction independently * Ability to lead and influence others * Ability to analyze and communicate * Experience in enterprise architecture, application development, system administration, or devOps is a plus
