As a Cashier with The Fresh Market you will be responsible for working closely with the Store Manager, Assistant Store Managers, Front End Managers in order to create The Fresh Market environment and ensure the success of the store and Front End through excellent customer service and a demonstrated passion for food. The Cashier will actively engage and educate customers about The Fresh Market’s products and process customer purchases, accurately and timely. Excellent communication, multitasking and self-motivation skills are essential to success at The Fresh Market. Successful Cashiers also demonstrate a high level of integrity with department products, employees, vendors, and our customers.

Focusing on an environment supporting a “one team” mentality. * Quality and safety duties include bagging and handling customer items with care and thought, following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures, operating equipment in a safe and focused manner and completing any necessary reports. * Follow all company guidelines and procedures, to include but not limited to, safety and sanitation * Maintain daily register station for proper supply assortment, maintain storage area and fill items that are running below acceptable levels before the end of your shift. * Monitor the Front End to ensure the highest quality products and services are available. * Demonstrated ability to multi task and assist in other departments throughout the day. * Maintain the cleanliness of the department following the cleaning checklist and tasks assigned by the Front End Manager and Store Management. * Customer service duties include processing customers utilizing a POS system, greeting customers, educating, informing customers about products and providing carry out service while providing overall exceptional service to ensure a positive and lasting customer impression. * Demonstrate the ability to reconcile tills, accounting for all cash, checks and other forms of payment. * Establish and maintain routines to organize daily paperwork related to your till and file per direction after till has been reconciled. * Offer daily feedback to the Front End Manager and Store Management about the Department and employee experience. * Maintain and champion regular sampling/engagement in the Front End * Demonstrate advanced product knowledge; maintain awareness of new products and educate employees and customers on products offered. * Demonstrated level of empowerment to resolve customer complaints.

**Qualifications** The Fresh Market prefers previous cash handling experience in a related industry. The Fresh Market requires basic math skills. Candidates should be highly motivated with a sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment at all times with all levels of employees.
