Responsibilities
**Summary:** - Develops video and multimedia content for the College’s website, social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube, and email marketing campaigns. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** - Find and tell compelling stories about Wooster and its people to prospective students and their families, alumni, and other key audiences using video and multimedia tools - Write, shoot, edit, and produce video news stories, features, and profiles - Develop longer form video pieces as needed to support the College’s admissions, development, and alumni relations efforts - Work with College Relations team and colleagues in admissions, development and alumni relations to create multimedia and video content for social media and email campaigns, from initial concept to finished product
Ideal Candidate
**Education and/or Experience:** - Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in broadcast journalism, film, communication or a related field from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **Computer Skills:** - High level of proficiency and experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and iMovie required. Proficiency and experience with MS Office required. Proficiency and experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram required. **Other Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, video production, or multimedia production, and one to two years related experience. - Demonstrated skill and experience in video shooting, editing and production, from story idea to finished segment, as evidenced by a portfolio of work. - Must communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with a broad range of constituencies. - Thorough understanding of social media best practices and creative insight into how to leverage them to connect and communicate with the college’s key audiences.
