Summary
We are seeking a Licensure and Certification Specialist to work in our Office of Training and Development and oversee the maintenance and accuracy of all professional licensure and certification information and practices for The Chicago School of Professional Psychology’s (TCSPP) academic programs and training. The Licensure and Certification Specialist will identify and maintain institutional knowledge regarding existing, new, or modified professional licensure and certification criteria which affect academic programs and clinical training, facilitate continual improvement in the quality of the information shared across the institution, and provide ongoing education to critical TCSPP stakeholders on the regulatory requirements and policies for all TCSPP degree programs which lead to licensure and certification. . The Licensure and Certification Specialist will report to the Associate Provost of the Center for Training and Licensure Affairs.
Responsibilities
* Support all TCSPP academic and training programs by providing accurate and current information regarding all professional licensure and certification requirements at both a state and national level. * Collaborate with the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs, and Office of Clinical Training and Development on program development and program modification processes which impact licensure eligibility. * Remain informed about changes in the professions with respect to licensure and certification. * Monitor and report on particular changes in state-specific licensure and certifications requirements. * Establish an institutional standard of communication and accuracy, in consultation with the Office of Clinical Training and Development, Office of Student Affairs, Office of Admissions, and Marketing Department, to visibly articulate to current and prospective students the professional licensure and certification opportunities available upon successful completion of TCSPP programs; * Support TCSPP in its activities to assist prospective students, current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and others with professional licensure and certification needs both domestically and internationally; * Maintain a database through which information about existing licensure and certification regulations and changes may be tracked and archived, and provide a means to access this information by appropriate parties. * Ensure program and institutional compliance with licensure requirements in as these relate to professional accreditation, regional accreditation, and state certification. * Demonstrate a commitment to the institutional mission and values.
Ideal Candidate
* Licensed or License-Eligible as a Clinical Psychologist, LPCC, or MFT * Experience in a higher education administration and/or regulatory agency * Experience overseeing licensing and certification compliance issues * Strong knowledge of local and national licensing and certification requirements across disciplines * Demonstrated understanding of state and professional accreditation agencies and regulators * Strong project management and organizational skills * Ability to communicate ideas and information effectively in both verbal and written form * Computer use skills to include: word processing, reports, statistics, graphs using various tools * A commitment to assessment, and continuous improvement * Evidence of successful decision making in a collaborative environment * A commitment to furthering the mission of TCSPP through growth with quality
