If you have strong technical skills, the ability to think through business use cases, a passion for back-end development and an intellectual curiosity to learn new tools and technology, then you might be an excellent candidate for this key position.
- Work within a project based team environment developing websites and web-based software for Canton Group clients
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including: pre-sales meeting with Customers, requirements gathering, programming and software development and testing
- Provide high level technical solutions and work with staff to implement desired architecture. Will serve as SME in back-end programming techniques using PHP, Laravel or other open source technology.
- You will work with project managers, front end developers, designers and requirements/QA staff as part of a project team that will interface directly with client representatives for weekly update meetings meetings.
- You will work under limited supervision and work on several different projects of moderate to complex difficulty.
- 10+ years of experience coding/developing/debugging web based application software.
- Strong experience with PHP, and relational database such as SQL Server or mySQL is required
- Knowledge of PHP frameworks (Laravel) preferred
- Preferred skills include custom JavaScript development, Angular JS, or RoR.
- Must be able to demonstrate understanding of customer plans, problems, processes, and requirements.
- Able to meet project deadlines and milestones while producing high quality work.
- Must display a superior ability to communicate with co-workers and customers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
