Responsibilities
- The Creative Services Designer is responsible for design exploration, execution and overall creative management of POS, packaging, trade advertising and collateral materials. - Based on creative brief as supplied by Brand or Promotions Project Lead, manage design process for POS and packaging materials. - With input and support of Sr. Art Director & Art Director, provide a variety of executions for presentation. - Prepare final digital for approved concept and deliver to Production team. With some guidance & support from Sr. Art Director and Sr. Director of Creative Services, prepare formal design presentations for review of creative with Brand or Promotions teams. - Focus is on gaining alignment and approval to move artwork forward and maintain schedules. - Working with Production/Traffic Specialist: - Ensure that your part of the approval process is followed according to set parameters. - Ensure that slug is added to all files and updated with each round of approvals. - Ensure that in/out dates are recorded on folder - Using strong communications skills build rapport with internal (Creative Services, Brand Development, Legal, Sales Reps) and external (vendors, artists & artists reps, accounts, etc.) customers. - As an advocate for the Brand, ensure that brand pillars are consistently considered in all creative exploration and that you are delivering high-quality creative that is on-brand. - As part of daily routine, with other design/creative staff work to educate other members of Brand Development as to how the brand should be represented, and give support for decisions that are effectively rooted in established brand guidelines. - Maintain steady workflow amid changing direction and frequent shifts in priority. - Maintain consistent attention to timelines to make sure that you meet or exceed expectation. - Any issue with ability to meet set timeline must be communicated to Project Lead and Production/Traffic Specialist and timelines may require adjustment. - Maintain cost-conscience approach to individual job execution while increasing personal productivity. - Constantly strive to gain further knowledge of design in effort to improve quality of work. - Focus to be on packaging and POS design and the beer industry in general.
Ideal Candidate
- BA in Graphic Design required. Portfolio required. - Willingness to keep current in field and technology by attending seminars and/or course work as necessary, or as determined by manager. - 2-5 years of Design experience required. - Demonstrated proficiency with MAC operating systems with an advanced knowledge of CS6 required. - Management of outside agents (designers, artists, artists reps, etc.) required. - Knowledge or target market and beer industry a plus. - Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and projects while setting priorities and working under strict deadlines. - Ability to manage and cope in a constantly changing and demanding environment.
