SharePoint Senior Developer

The Aerospace Corporation has provided independent technical and scientific research, development, and advisory services to national security space programs since 1960. We operate a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) for the United States Air Force and the National Reconnaissance Office, and support all national security space programs.

In this position you will review and advise our Enterprise Information Systems team on our SharePoint Online architectural approach and solutions for Office 365 in the U.S. Government Cloud.

* Provides technical leadership in integrating SharePoint with corporate IT services.?Identifies and mitigates risk associated with SharePoint integration. * Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop SharePoint collaboration requirements and solutions. Conducts business and technical reviews to validate findings. * Leads and performs technical analyses of alternatives. * Documents current systems and develops recommendations on how to proceed with solutions. * Identifies and documents best practices for end users. Develops and delivers training for end users. * Evaluates new technologies and leads cross organizational teams to analyze, select, and integrate these technologies with Office 365. * Anticipates future IT service needs and leads the development and deployment of practical solutions. ? * Identifies opportunities for process / procedure improvements. Develops and helps lead these improvement efforts. * Optimizes SharePoint Online system resources and configurations. Trains Office 365 application administrators on best practices. * Ensures data is systematically gathered to identify problems. Finds solutions and methods of corrective action, seeking appropriate level of support. Engages with vendor for advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting. * Seeks opportunities to bring cross-functional teams together to share information to improve technical expertise and performance. * Works closely with staff to develop IT roadmaps and strategies that integrate across multiple service areas.

**Required:** * 6 or more years of relevant experience * High School Diploma or equivalent * Full understanding of out-of-the-box SharePoint 2010, 2013, or 2016 capabilities including, but not limited to: * SharePoint Designer * Custom Branding / User Interface customization * Site development and management * WebPart and AppPart development and customization * Access control * Workflow development * SharePoint app management * Search result management * SharePoint administration console and configuration options * Taxonomy and term store management and application * Strong understanding of 3rd party tools that can be used to develop and manage SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2016 environments. * 3 years of experience with programming or scripting * 3 years of experience with SharePoint development and customization * 2 years of experience with SharePoint Designer or InfoPath * 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) **Preferred:** * Bachelor's Degree in computer related discipline * Experience in IT with government agency * 3 years of experience with PowerShell * 3 years of experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Web API * 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office 365 (Skype, Outlook, SharePoint) * 3 years of experience with SharePoint application administration * Knowledge and experience with ITIL standards and processes **Physical Requirements/Work Environments** * Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. * Ability to use a computer to complete activities. * Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and telepresence. * While performing the duties of this job, the employee will typically work in an office environment. **Transcript Requirement** * None
