Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting

Tesoro, through our subsidiaries, owns and operates seven refineries with a combined capacity of over 895,000 barrels per day. Our retail-marketing system includes over 2,400 retail stations under the ARCO®, Shell®, Exxon®, Mobil®, USA Gasoline™, Rebel™ and Tesoro® brands.

Performs a variety of moderately complex accounting consolidation and financial statement preparation activities for all entities in accordance with policies, principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Prepares and/or reviews consolidating financial statement schedules used for guarantor financial information presentation in SEC filings.
• Prepares analysis and financial reports and statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, stockholders' equity statements, cash flow statements, variance analysis, regulatory reports and filings.
• Collects, compiles, analyzes, and verifies financial data to ensure the integrity of accounting records. Investigates and resolves discrepancies.
• Prepares analysis and schedules in support of financial statements.
• Monitors journal entries and other financial transactions, maintains general ledger, and reconciles accounts to financial statements.
• May document, update, and maintain internal procedures or work on special projects.
• Serves as a resource to less experienced accountants.
• Prepares schedules for internal groups and external auditors.

• Minimum undergraduate degree in accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years accounting, audit or related experience in accounting consolidations and financial statement preparation for moderately complex entity structures.
