Summary
As a Senior Financial Analyst at Tennant, you will provide strong financial support to the Coatings and Orbio businesses within Tennant Company. The role will require strong collaboration with finance peers and cross functional leaders to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive financial view of the business. The expectation of this role is for the incumbent to develop into a leading business partner capable of progressing into a finance manager’s role.
Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting and planning processes for both business units (Orbio and Coatings) - Support monthly reporting of results vs. plan/forecast/PY - Support Quarterly incentive calculations for compensation - Assist sales teams as needed with analysis for pricing, financing, bridge programs as required - Monthly reporting of service cost for Orbio businesses - Drive cost control across the business units to ensure plan adherence - Support Month End Inventory tracking for non-SAP inventory (inventory at Orbio/Solar/In transit) - Provide support to develop executive presentations for business reviews and on occasion present financial results to the business teams in quarterly analytic reviews - Develop financial models and analysis to support strategic initiatives where required - Provide close support to Coatings Sales manager responsible for Mexico where needed - Provide Ad Hoc analysis in support of the FP&A team
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor's Degree with accounting, finance or economics major. - 5 to 7 years of progressive finance experience primarily gained within a Financial Planning, Operations Finance or Commercial Finance environment - Bilingual English / Spanish to support Mexico business highly preferred. - Proactive and hands on individual who can operate at the highest professional and ethical standards at all time - Strong problem-solver. - High levels of maturity and professionalism to engage with senior level business leaders - Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, while maintaining a client service orientation. - Willingness to be flexible with time and adjust to a changing work environment. - Ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations. - Able to travel on occasion when needed, will be less than 15%. - Strong systems and technical knowledge preferably with SAP. - Advanced proficiency with Excel along with knowledge and experience with other management reporting applications
