Diabetes Educator

• The Diabetes Educator functions as a clinical practice expert providing focused professional nursing care for Diabetes Education. This person serves as a clinical consultant, clinical expert, educator, practitioner, clinical resource and care coordinator to facilitate quality patient care and achieve optimal care outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a professional school of Nursing (MSN preferred)
• Minimum of five years of clinical nursing experience with at least three of those years in the area of diabetes education (or related area), demonstrated expertise via progressive clinical experiences, and meets criteria for expert position (per specialty guidelines)
• Current (or eligible for) Mass RN license
• Experience as a Diabetes Educator preferred
