Senior Software Engineer of GIS Data

We have approximately 34 million subscribers worldwide connecting with us from mobile phones, tablets, computers, cars and developer applications.

We are looking for a full time Senior GIS Developer to work on unified data model to support Auto and Mobile products. Work closely with routing, geocoding and traffic experts to design and implement innovative navigation solutions.

• Design and implement proprietary GIS data format
• Work with the rest of the software team to provide fast, efficient, and reliable releases
• Investigate and fix reported GIS data issues

Requirements:

• 5+ years of direct hands-on design and development in experience in Java
• 3+ years of GIS Data Modeling
• Languages: Fluent Java, Python
• PostgreSQL/PostGIS or equivalent
• Superior disciplined coding skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Tools: Eclipse, SVN, Crucible, Jira

Pluses:

• Familiar with C++
• Familiar with OSM (openstreetmap) Data Model
• PL/SQL
• Familiar with navigation algorithms: routing, geocoding, traffic
