Research and Development Engineering Technician

Provide technical support for the R&D engineering group including setup, debugging & troubleshooting new equipment and processes, tooling support, implementation of statistical process controls and training of manufacturing personnel. Assist in troubleshooting production line problems.

• Provide assistance during Verification & Validation of new equipment and processes for the R&D group.
• Develop protocols and reports to support R&D efforts.
• Troubleshooting new tooling and equipment issues and resolve for the R&D group.
• Train manufacturing personnel on new equipment & processes.
• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex’s Code of Ethics, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards

Education / Experience Requirements:

• Technical College degree preferred

Specialized Skills & Other Requirements:

• Medical Device plastics experience in extrusion or injection molding.
• 3 to 5 years experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word & Excel required
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities
• Ability to solve problems and analyze data
• Ability to think and work independently but also work well in teams
