Summary

TEKsystems is currently seeking an Active Directory GPO Engineer in Charleston, SC. This candidate will be supporting a locally based SPAWAR program and will be required to sit on site. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time. The AD GPO Engineer will be responsible for supporting IT infrastructure for the Desktop as a Service (DaaS) team in support of the Defense Health Agency (DHA), and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) in Charleston, SC.

Responsibilities
  • Windows Server Engineering and Administration
  • Active Directory Engineering and Administration
  • Providing technical expertise in the deployment of Windows Server, Active Directory, and associated technologies as they apply to the deployment of the Desktop as a Service Solution for the Defense Health Agency to multiple sites.
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues
Ideal Candidate
  • 2-5 years dedicated AD/GPO experience in execution and understanding of GPOs
  • 8+ Years Windows Server Administration Experience
  • Have a strong working knowledge of the latest versions of Windows OS and Active Directory.
  • Have experience with multi-factor authentication from Windows clients.
  • Be able to manage a complex active directory tree which includes
  • Multiple domains
    • Multiple trust relationships/types
    • Group policies
    • OUs
    • Sites
    • 2-factor authentication
    • Firewalls
    • Enclaves
  • Various active directory services experience such as DoD PKI certificates and replication
  • Be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix problems throughout active directory with little or no supervision
  • Be able to automate tasks using scripts using PowerShell, ADSI, Python, WSUS, SCCM, etc.
  • Experience following and documenting operational processes.
  • PowerShell Scripting (Preferred)
  • DoD/IAVA/PKI experience (Preferred)
