Summary
TEKsystems is searching for a Manager of Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Services who will oversee and manage the IT Infrastructure and end user technologies for one of our clients in the Government vertical. This will include network services, virtual services, cloud infrastructure, DR/Backup strategies, client systems engineering, desktop support, account management, asset management, and other duties as defined by the Chief Information Officer.
Responsibilities
* Full accountability of the day to day IT Infrastructure operations which includes Client System Engineering, IT Account and Asset Management, Desktop Services, Email and File Services, Network Services, and Virtual Server Services. * Full support of all application and system implementation, playing key role in helping develop details around workflow development, training and adoption strategies, and operating model development for continued support. * Build and maintain strong partnerships with clients, state government agencies and internal, and Exchange departmental stakeholders, strengthening the relationship with those that the Exchange is/will be relying on. * Appropriately staff the departments according to current and future resourcing needs. * Create an environment that drives innovation while also managing the risks associated with major transformation initiatives. * Ensure timely, accurate, and quality execution of all deliverables. * Assure compliance and adherence to all Exchange and State of Washington processes and policy requirements, including privacy and security policies and requirements. * Recruit talented individuals and develop their talents for retention and success of the organization. * Understand the industry/market best practices and incorporate them seamlessly into day-to-day operating processes.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technology related major, or closely allied field AND five years of progressive experience in supervisory/managerial role, managing technical teams and personnel. * NOTE: Qualifying experience may substitute year for year for education. * Must have experience in desktop, network, server, virtualization, and cloud technologies. Including but not limited to: VMware, Office 365, Windows Server 2012, Juniper firewalls, SQL Databases. * Trained in ITIL methodology. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong client-service orientation. * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow-through on issues in a timely manner. * Motivated self-starter with initiative to take independent action and accept responsibility for your actions. * Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality. * Creatively and proactively problem solve; must possess the ability to make independent decisions and judgments about work priorities.
