Summary
The primary responsibility of the DR Operations team is to manage and govern the DR exercises in all data centers globally and ensuring that all applications meet the requirements specified in the DR standards The team is looking to engage a specialist to assist with the co-ordination and management of all DR-related activities, adhering to the standards and procedures of the Bank. The position will report to the Head for DR Operations.
Responsibilities
* Manage Data Centre Disaster Recovery (DR) Full Loss test exercises following Disaster Recovery Technical Standards and DR Test processes, and according to the annual DR calendar. * Manage Full-loss test scenarios for applications hosted in data centers in the AMERICAS region. * Manage regulatory mandated DR tests for critical applications. e.g Fed-White Paper Tests. * Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders, including vendors (e.g. IBM, HP) to ensure thorough preparation, timely and complete deliverables required for a successful DR test for all in-scope applications. * Raise required Request for Services (Rf's) and liaise with external vendors (e.g IBM, HP) to conduct analysis on DR capabilities of applications, perform DR test execution, provide test documentation and post-DR issues analysis and resolution, and Retests of failed applications. * Ensure that all stakeholders and testers are aware of and perform mandatory testing requirements and documentation as expected from regulators and auditors. * Provide training on tools and test processes to the stakeholders where required * Prepare, plan and develop the weekend timeline and logistics requirements for each DR exercise. * Manage and mitigate the risks and issues arising in each exercise. * Manage the Command Centre during the DR exercise execution weekends. * Prepare and Publish DR Test Reports. * Post-DR monitoring and tracking to closure of all issues raised during the DR exercise. * Co-ordinate and monitor the Re-test of applications that fail a DR test. * Support and collaborate with colleagues Globally as well as Manage off-shore teams
Ideal Candidate
* Disaster Recovery Operations experience (not Business Continuity) Coordinating DR tests Global / Large Enterprise level experience
