NorthWest Cable News (NWCN), the TEGNA owned 24-hour regional news network, reaches over 2.8 million Northwest homes covering Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and parts of Alaska, Montana and California. NWCN is housed in the same building as its sister stations broadcasting as KING 5 TV, (NBC affiliate), KONG TV (Independent), the number one local TV news Web site, king5.com, and nwcn.com. We are looking for a creative, energetic News Producer. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, we want to hear from you.

Lead a team of professionals to create the best newscasts. Coordinate all elements of a contemporary newscast from writing and graphics to show timing and directing your team, aggregating materials from NW TEGNA affiliate newscasts and reporters. Must be able to assertively lead in the face of tough deadlines and a sometimes pressure-filled environment. Will also carry out the network’s vision and mission with the help of an executive producer to have the most accurate 24-hour coverage of breaking news, sports and weather information in the NorthWest. Will be required to create, research, and publish material on nwcn.com and social media platforms. Must understand that having a flexible work schedule, which may include weekends and overnights, is part of the job.

* College degree with prior news producing experience preferred * Prior experience with the ENPS newsroom computer system a plus. * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Solid news judgment * Ability to work under constant time pressure deadlines * Highly organized, creative, and a strong team player * Good computer skills.
