Maintenance Engineering Internship

Tecton Products began in 1990 in Fargo, ND as a partnership with Marvin Windows and Doors. Today, we are proud to be one of the foremost innovators of cutting-edge pultruded fiberglass products. We have grown into two manufacturing facilities with a team of over 250.

We are currently seeking an intern to work closely with one of our Mechanical Engineers beginning in May 2016. The ideal candidate is available 20-40 hours per week this summer and able to transition to approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school year. Projects will be a mix of project management and mechanical design.

• Specify and coordinate the installation of a new air conditioning unit in the tool and die shop
• Provide mechanical design support for improvements to production equipment
• Design and coordinate modifications to dust collection motor mounting
• Optimize production process by implementing design modifications to production tooling
• Projects will increase in complexity as proficiency is demonstrated
• Some projects will require PRO-E design work

• The ideal candidate will have a technical background and pursing a Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering and Mgmt degree.
• Junior level status during fall 2016 is preferred.
