Project Coordinator

TechLink is an IT services company that provides consulting, right to hire, and direct placement services to major companies across the country. Our corporate headquarters are located in Mahwah, New Jersey.

Our client, a global publishing/media organization in New York City, is looking for a Project Coordinator for a long term contract. The candidate will be working in the Information Technology team to help with project coordination tasks.

• Accomplishes work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching employees.
• Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
• Meets cost standards by monitoring expenses; implementing cost-saving actions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
• Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

• Documenting and tracking project schedules and tasks
• Preparing for project meetings
• Taking and publishing meeting minutes
• Facilitating project meetings
• Running project status reports and metrics
• Updating project documentation (in MS Project, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Access, etc.).
• Other administrative activities as requested.
• Candidates must have advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Visio skills
• The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of Project Coordination experience.
• Candidates should have strong communication skills, ability to multi-task, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and be flexible to changes/updates that might need to take place on the fly.
• Someone who is well versed in the Project Management principles.
