Software QA II

Team Focus Insurance Group has been serving the property and casualty insurance industry for seven decades. We trace our roots back to 1946 when MacNeill Group was founded as Frank R. MacNeill and Son.

Responsible for working directly with business users, product and development team, through all phases of SDLC, including business requirements, functional specifications, integration and regression testing, using current testing methodologies and tools. Will also be responsible for creating and executing test plans, test scripts and test cases, as well as assist in isolating problems after the software release. This individual will be responsible for setting the tone for overall quality of the product.

* Create Test Plans * Design test plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based on business requirement/ functional specification * Create and execute test cases manually and through automation tools. * Document software defects, and report defects to developers and project manager * Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, screen, or content * Monitor bug solution, efforts and track successes * Ability to plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates * Participate in product design reviews providing input on functional requirement, production design Schedule or potential problemConduct Load, Stress and Security Testing * Participate in Regression Test Cycles * Participate in daily technical standup meetings * Participate in Releases from QA to UAT and from UAT to Production * Work with Development to validate the Testing Frameworks. * Train and mentor new testers as necessary

* Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in related disciplines. Master's degree is a plus. * 2-4 years of software quality experience with progressive advancement in a professional working environment * Experience working concurrently on multiple projects. * Must be hands on with Test Management and Functional testing tools. * Ability to work hands-on and also coordinate during implementation of complex testing solutions. Display a high-level of initiative and troubleshooting skills in stressful situations * Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external Clients; ability to effectively work with any coworker within the team or division; ability to transfer knowledge and translate technical concepts to non-technical resources and coworkers; excellent verbal and written communication skills * Knowledge of Databases and ability to write intermediate SQL code is a must * Experience working with Web Services and API is preferred. * Familiarity with IBM Tools and Products such as WebSphere and DB2 * Testing Experience in a Java Environment * Experience Testing in a SaaS/Cloud Environment * Experience with Kanban methodology * Insurance industry experience
