Software Engineer III

The Software Engineer III designs, codes, tests, and troubleshoots software in Java and J2EE technologies to support PolicyPort and all its components.

* Analysis of business requirements * Design and development of new features * Defect Resolution * Unit Testing * Security and Load Testing * Participate in business requirements reviews. * Participate in code reviews * Assist the QA team with Functional and regression testing * Assist the Business Analysis team with requirements gathering * Participates in the continuous process improvement projects of the Product Delivery department in support and attainment of Corporate Goals and Divisional Goals and Objectives

**Candidate Skills:** * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Must be dependable, reliable and punctual. * Java, J2EE * XML and related technologies such as XSL, XSD * SQL * DB2 * EJB * Knowledge of SDLC * Knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodology **Candidate Qualification:** * Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related disciplines. * Four (4) to eight (8) years of Software programming experience with EJB, Java, J2EE and web services. * Demonstrated ability to work in a release oriented software development environment utilizing code management software and techniques.
