Summary
The Associate Creative Director partners with the management team, the design team and clients to define the creative direction of key aviation-specific projects. The ACD is then responsible for directing creative teams to conceive, develop and deliver creative solutions for those projects. The ACD must possess a strong understanding of strategic design and product development, and demonstrate a proven track record for coordinating these activities into compelling and production-ready design solutions. It takes a very particular type of person to serve as a liaison between designers, management and clients, guide the creative process, and draw out a diverse team’s individual talents, but with the right person at the helm, the results can be truly spectacular. Responsibilities
- You are a big-picture visionary who can define and guide a project’s vision, ensure that that vision is aligned with TEAGUE’s other creative departments, and express that vision clearly and persuasively to management and clients at all organizational levels. - In addition to being an effective and articulate liaison, you’re a gifted mentor and manager, excited to help designers develop their strengths and well-versed in inspiring others to come up with creative solutions. Yes, you love to design, but what you love even more is harnessing the wide-ranging talents of a highly motivated, multifaceted group of creative types and optimizing them to create results. - You have a strong aesthetic and point of view, which come into play when facilitating and leading internal design critiques for your own department, as well as others. Although you are an inspiring leader, you know that collaboration is the key to success. You not only value your colleagues, but you develop productive long-term relationships with clients. - You contribute actively to the development of proposals that establish budgets, performance expectations and manpower requirements and are happy to assist in developing business opportunities with core clients. - Finally, you have the technical knowledge to get the job done. Ideal Candidate
- Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in creative field from an accredited school; 8+ years applicable experience in a corporate or consulting office, including time in a creative direction or senior content lead role; management experience - Special skills: Understanding of aviation design a plus; strong sensitivity to form development; understanding of current tools, technology and practices and how best to incorporate them Passion: Helping to build a thriving, innovative and cohesive creative community - Role: Helping clients envision the future and then figuring out how to create it for them. - Personality: collaborative, motivated, creative, inspiring, visionary
