Rails/Ruby Developer (Remote)

TaxJar is a funded, early stage, startup with tremendous upside. Our entire team works remotely within the US and we look forward to the next team member joining. We move fast, take risks, and pride ourselves on staying flexible, fun, and committed to measurable customer satisfaction. This is a full-time remote position, available to folks located in the US. We do daily stand-up calls, chat on Flowdock, review pull requests and have fun changing the game.

We're looking for an experienced ROR developer to join our growing development team. You'll be deeply involved with our growing SmartCalcs API as well as expanding our reporting and filing features that already make TaxJar an awesome product that thousands of paying customers love.

- Ready and willing to take the initiative on new features and bug fixes - Test first or last, it doesn’t matter we want high quality code with full coverage in RSpec - Experience with connecting to 3rd party REST and SOAP APIs - Experience with a large, fast growing code base and multiple projects. - Knowledge in web technologies: Rails, Postgres, Heroku, AWS, Git, Sass, Javascript, Ajax - Rapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced and demanding environment - Comfortable working directly with customers via phone or email. - Able to clearly communicate via chat and phone with remote team members - Someone who is agile, humble, and a team player - Prior SaaS application experience - 2+ years of production Rails experience
