Responsibilities
TASC, an Engility Corporation is seeking qualified LINUX Systems Administrator professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Linux server integrity, operating system, hardware and residing software. Positions are located in Northern Virginia Area. * Responsible for installation, maintenance and upgrades to Linux operating configurations for servers, systems and application software. * Will provide technical referent on engineering assessments considering all additions or changes to the operating environment. * Troubleshoot problems that may involve applications and associated network * Provide technical support to applications and utility developers on requirements for integration into the operating environment * Provide guidance and technical assistance as needed * Maintain and update documentation on the operating systems' configuration * Manage software life cycles * Participate in various design reviews
Ideal Candidate
Required skills: * BS Degree with 5+ years work experience administering Linux systems, servers, software and operating framework * Performing access analysis, design, load optimization, and system implementation * Experience building and patching Linux servers, preferably using Kickstart and YUM 3 * Experience installing, configuring and managing HP Blade Chassis Experience configuring, installing and managing VMWare ESX * Demonstrated ability to effectively function in a multi-system and/or multi-application environment Desired skills: * Highly desired experience with Red Hat Enterprise * Red Hat Certified * Experience with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies * Experience with any of the following: Nagios, Spacewalk, Puppet, Jenkins 4, NFS 5, or HP Insight Control Clearance: To qualify, Candidates must have an active/in-hand top secret SCI security clearance with polygraph
