TARIS Biomedical® was founded in 2008 in response to a long-standing clinical need for a convenient, safe, and effective way to treat bladder disease locally. Encouraged by the effectiveness of local bladder instillations but frustrated by the need for frequent repeated dosing due to normal bladder emptying, urologists expressed a desire for a better approach.
Summary
Product Development is responsible for all aspects of combination product design and development from product concept to manufacturing for both drug formulation and device design.
Responsibilities
* Perform product design and manufacturing process development for * manufacturability * Provide product prototypes for research and development activities * Conduct lab scale characterization experiments to support formulation, device, and combination product development * Develop test procedures and fixtures as needed to conduct experiments * Interface with and manage external vendors and suppliers * Develop test protocols, SOPS and work procedures * Perform data analysis and generate technical reports and presentations
Ideal Candidate
* Extensive hands-on experience in design/prototyping of small components for * implantable drug/device combination products or medical device highly * preferred; experience with in vivo (animal) testing of prototypes is a plus * Hands-on experience with medical tubing manufacturing * Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks®) * Experience with design control * Experience with hands-on assembly of small components * Experience with machining and Instron is a plus * Familiarity with engineering and statistical software packages * Ability to plan and conduct discrete experiments * Ability to write reports of experiments and clearly communicate technical * information efficiently * Wet chemistry experience is a plus * Degree in a relevant technical discipline (mechanical, chemical, biomedical, * polymer, materials sciences engineering) or related field: * BS: 8 years relevant industry experience * Masters: 5 years relevant industry experience * Doctorate: 3 years relevant industry experience Minimum 2-4 years of product development experience in a laboratory/engineering setting. Strong attention to details, and results-driven Legally authorized to work in the United States
