Our Client, an Environmental Engineering consulting firm, is hiring a Field Tech in West Houston! In this role you will gather and test soil and concrete samples for their construction clients:

* Perform standard observations and testing. * Assist in complex, non-routine testing. * Prepare testing reports and forms summarizing test and observation results. * Discuss field observations and test results with Project Managers to ensure project execution, accuracy and timely reporting. * Assist in carrying out the tasks associated with the Quality Program by performing equipment checks and calibrations.

* High school diploma. * NICET (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology) Certification. * 2+ years’ experience utilizing environmental testing equipment, performing equipment checks and calibrations. * Good communication skills, mechanical and technical skills. Strong math aptitude. * Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. * Able to successfully pass criminal background, physical examination and drug screening. * Able to work long hours outside in the field, tolerating all types of weather conditions. * Solid computer skills and 2+ years’ experience writing reports. **Nice to have** * Associate degree preferred. * Construction soil or concrete testing experience strongly preferred.
