Summary
This position will manage the design, customization, configuration, and implementation of the Management System. This position requires proven project management, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments. Responsibilities include leadership of technology-focused projects and teams relying on project management values and principles. A significant portion of this position's responsibility will be oversight of the planning and execution of work being performed by a vendor that is under contract to customize and implement project from the existing AgileCourt product. Once in the Project Manager position, this individual will have to become very familiar with the vendor's contract with company, particularly the terms and conditions, functional and technical requirements and the statement of work. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to collaborate and coordinate activities with diverse groups, including stakeholders, sponsors, team leads, vendors, other project managers, and technical staff. As the Project Manager, this individual will:
Responsibilities
* Oversee project progress on a day-to-day basis working in close coordination with CFS Project Manager * Be responsible for managing State contractual obligations * Work with the vendor Project Manager to make critical decisions to keep project on track, in compliance with the project schedule * Oversee the project plan and communications plan to track and communicate project status, successes, and achievements * Facilitate communication with other entities that require interfacing with * Approve of all project deliverables
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications:** * BS Degree in Related Field * 3+ years' experience as a project manager using project management methodologies, in significant portion of which must be related to large system development and implementation for a public sector/government entity. * Preference will be given to experience related to court management systems and South Carolina Family Courts system * 5+ years' experience in information technology including computing, telecommunications, printing, data storage, data transmission etc. * Large scale production system implementation experience. * Knowledge of generally accepted system architecture, project management and supervision principles and practices. * Proven abilities to plan, organize, instruct, and review the work of a project team. * Ability to communicate (orally and written) effectively with technical, non-technical staff, customers/stakeholders (State and Federal) and executives. * Ability to communicate effectively with the State information technology staff. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Detail-oriented and highly organized * Strong presentation and communication skills * Self-motivated driver able to make progress despite obstacles * Strong servant leader able to lead and work with multiple diverse roles and personalities **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience on projects related to court management systems and/or knowledge of the South Carolina Family Court's mission and objectives is a positive consideration.
