The Azure / Sr. Systems Engineer will monitor performance, capacity, and bandwidth utilization of operations, and recommend future architecture strategies; provide oversight of configuration management, administration, maintenance, monitoring, modification and documentation of systems operations and systems maintenance. All work will be performed within a Change Management process. Enterprise level experience with Cloud based technologies such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS is required.

* Designs, builds, tests, deploys, analyzes, administers, monitors, and maintains Client facing Cloud-based components to meet current and future business needs. * Specifies, maintains, follows, and extends relevant Change Management processes. * Researches and recommends the procurement and use of new Cloud-based infrastructure services. * Provides support and issue investigation and resolution for all internal and client facing Cloud-based solutions. * Actively mentors all staff on the proper use of all Cloud-based services.

Has a strong understanding of the competencies, the roles, and the work performed for the client by each competency. **Experience & Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience * 5-7 years’ experience in managing and supporting Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2012 Enterprise Servers in a high availability enterprise environment. * 5-7 years’ experience in managing and supporting a multi data center virtualized environment and configuring systems for maximum performance and operating flexibility. * 2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Azure, Office365 or equivalent cloud based IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS. * 3+ years of experience in leading and managing projects to deploy complex systems. * Extensive hands-on experience in deploying and troubleshooting high performance systems. * Significant experience with utilizing systems monitoring and reporting tools and framework. **Knowledge & Ability** * Expert level knowledge of Azure Site Recovery, Backups, Clustering, Load Balancing and SQL Always On, Virtual Networking, Site to Site VPN. * Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards as well as excellent hardware troubleshooting experience including LDAP, DNS, DHCP, IIS, iSCSI, 10gb Ethernet, etc. * Expert in scripting and PowerShell. * Hands on experience administering TFS solutions as well as general familiarity with reading and debugging C# based projects would be a definite plus. * Ability to conduct research into networking and system issues with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities * Excellent project, vendor, software licensing management experience. * Excellent technical writing and technical documentation ability. * Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels within the organization. * Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed environment. **Position Requirements** Overtime may be necessary.
