Summary
The Functional Analyst supports IT projects from inception to delivery and works directly with business and technology teams to successfully deliver leading solutions that satisfy business needs, simplify the IT landscape and align with T-Mobile’s strategic direction. The Functional Analyst will work on business requirements, solution designs, functional specifications, system configuration and other project and deployment-related activities. To be successful this role, strong problem solving and innovative thinking are required, as well as a drive for delivering business value through the assigned projects. The Enterprise IT teams at T-Mobile support a wide variety of core internal and customer-facing functions, including Retail, Web, Care, Supply Chain, HR and Finance. The Functional Analyst will work on projects focused on Reverse Logistics, Inventory Management and Device Lifecycle Management processes and solutions.
Responsibilities
* Analyzes business needs presented by the Supply Chain user community and/or clients and recommends technical solutions. * Reviews business requirements prior to the technical solution build. * Collaborates with EIT and business teams on business requirements definition, solution designs, functional specifications, system configuration, testing, training, cutover, and other project-related activities. * Ensures the consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and communicating standards and procedures for implementing technical solutions. * Represents the EIT function at customer requirements, design and review meetings. * Performs liaison duties between users, operations, and programming personnel in the areas of systems design, modifications or trouble shooting. * Builds alignment with business and other IT teams on priorities and deliveries against these priorities.
Ideal Candidate
* At least 6+ years of experience designing, building and deploying supply chain solutions preferably SAP, including ERP, SCM and OER. * Experience with Supply Chain, ideally within a Retail environment, and specifically Reverse Logistics and Inventory Management business operations and processes. * Demonstrated professional growth, customer focus, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills. * Ability to work independently, manage and deliver multiple projects in parallel while meeting tight deadlines. * Proven ability to solve problems creatively and resourcefully. * Excellent organizational and time-management skills. * Proficient with MS Office Programs and aptitude for learning new software quickly * Proven record of demonstrating proper judgment in handling difficult situations. Desired * Experience working preferably as a consultant. * Technology retail or telecommunication industry experience, ideally within supply chain. EDUCATION Required * Bachelors Degree in Business or IT or equivalent work experience Desired * Masters Degree in Business or IT preferred
