Summary
Qualified candidates will have an interest in wearable devices and IoT technology; will have strong Android development skills (including NDK); will have experience in building applications for iOS and other mobile platforms.You will be an active part of multi-disciplinary teams and will design and develop custom mobile frameworks and applications to pair with custom, leading-edge hardware products. Working with embedded software engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers, project managers, and client teams, you will have an identifiable impact on the success of projects and end products. A passion for quality code and experience with writing efficient mobile software are essential; good client interaction skills, leadership ability, and an egoless approach to teamwork are highly valued.
Responsibilities
* Develop applications and low-level frameworks for Android, iOS, and other platforms * Work in a multi-disciplinary setting with other mobile engineers, device firmware engineers, and program managers * Work with Synapse's clients to establish project requirements, communicate status, and work through issues * Participate in design and code reviews
Ideal Candidate
* 4 year degree in computer science or similar, or equivalent experience. * Strong Android programming skills (Java and C++) * Experience with iOS application development * Experience interfacing with RESTful services and other backend APIs * Experience with Bluetooth, BLE, NFC, and Wi-Fi a plus * Good teamwork skills, but also a proven ability to work independently * Experience working with project stakeholders * You own your own pony
