Summary
Swirl is seeking a Media Planner to help lead on one of the agency's largest and fastest growing tech clients. The Media Planner will work at the epicenter of Media, Creative, Tech, and Production as part of Swirl's largest integrated account. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a brand that truly values innovation in marketing and is consistently looking to its agency to help them push boundaries. The Media Planner will help this team and client to plan and execute integrated campaigns with a strong focus on digital & mobile. He/She will be expected to continue to help lead alongside a Media Supervisor and Associate Media Director, while also helping to mentor and manage an Assistant Media Strategist.
Responsibilities
* Develop/build relationships with media partners, negotiating rates and developing new opportunities * Plan and execute online, mobile, print, outdoor, radio and experiential plans * Closely monitor campaign performance and drive publisher optimization * Contribute to media strategy development * Manage third-party buying agencies & services * Create media plan presentations and present them to both internal teams and clients * Present plan optimizations to clients during reporting meetings or as needed * Produce media authorization forms and manage all media contracts * Manage material specs and artwork due dates with clients and creative teams * Analyze online data and provide insights for optimization * Manage media project billing to ensure accurate weekly billing audits and budget recaps * Participate in weekly client status calls; manage media feedback * Work closely with client, Creative and Tech teams to develop and implement campaigns
Ideal Candidate
* At least three (3) years in an agency, planning and buying media with an emphasis on digital & mobile * Strong math and analytical skills; ability to relate results to client business objectives * Media vendor negotiation experience * Experience with research tools such as Nielsen, @Plan, AdRelevance, MRI, Telmar, etc. * Advanced computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Highly organized, motivated, and able to work successfully with teams * Ability to seamlessly handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines under pressure * Resourceful with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively * Passion for advertising and technology
