Grants Manager

Suncoast Hospice is a not-for-profit organization committed to serving those living with chronic and or terminal illnesses, nearing the end of life, or experiencing grief. Suncoast Hospice cares for patients and helps to guide their families as they provide care and make decisions. Suncoast Hospice is community based, offering comprehensive hospice and palliative care, caregiver education, individual and group counseling, spiritual support and many other programs to those it serves.

At Empath Health, the Grants Manager is responsible for prospecting, researching, identifying, and developing new and existing grant funding sources with emphasis on multi-year, multi-million dollar government and private foundation demonstration and applied research grants. The Grant Manager is also Empath Health's primary grant management resource, assuring the agency utilizes funding and administers grant programs in compliance with regulations and policies. Additionally, this position has responsibility for convening and supporting ad-hoc committees and task forces in the agency and in the community to formulate hospice grant funding concepts and proposals.

1. Master’s degree preferred in a field pertinent to grantsmanship and fundraising with demonstrated success in securing large grant awards. 2. Three to five years of demonstrated experience in grants and/or contract management. 3. Superior written and oral communication, organizational skills, and presentation skills. 4. Superior computer skills including knowledge of spreadsheet programs and internet search capability. 5. Must successfully complete critical thinking skills assessment.
