- Explore emerging technologies and quickly adapt to newer technologies for better results - Drive innovation and technical strategy across projects - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and senior engineers - Transition well between providing high-level direction and diving into technical implementation - Define best practices for the engineering organization - Conduct architecture reviews of the product features, ensuring they will be implemented with a focus on security and scale - Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences - Hands-on coding to implement the design - Learn new techniques, languages, and tools quickly to drive organizational success - Work in a test driven and agile development fashion - Respect and expect accountability

- 12+ years of software development experience - Solid experience building highly scalable, distributed services (preferably REST based) - Deep knowledge of SQL and relational database programming - Thorough understanding of software architecture; object oriented design and development methodologies - NoSQL experience a plus (Cassandra, MongoDB) - BS/MS in Computer Science or related Engineering field - Strong analytical problem-sovling and decision-making skills - Excellent communication skills
