Summary
We currently have a need for a rail design engineer to join us in our Los Angeles office. This is a great opportunity to join our growing Transportation & Infrastructure division and work on high-profile projects including high speed rail, light rail transit, and commuter rail projects throughout the region and across North America.
Responsibilities
* Horizontal, vertical, and cross section design of light rail, subway, commuter rail, and freight rail * Prepare accompanying drawing sheets * Grade crossing design and PUC applications * Specification and report writing * Cost estimating * Retaining wall design * Track drainage design
Ideal Candidate
* The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of applicable experience and a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field. EIT or PE (or ability to obtain a PE) is preferred. * We are looking for a professional that also has excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Must have experience with Microstation or AutoCAD. Experience with Microstation InRoads and AutoCAD Civil3D is preferred. * Leadership involvement in either local or national engineering and/or transportation organizations is highly desired. * The ideal candidate will have 1 to 5 years of applicable experience and a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
